Product Sorting — Drag & Drop for Categories
Product Sorting lets you put the products of a Shopware 6 category in the order you want, by drag & drop. It adds a Sorting tab to every category. That tab shows the category's listing exactly as shoppers see it in a sales channel: the same tiles, the same products and the same order.
You only place the products that matter, such as a campaign piece in slot 1 or a bestseller in slot 3. Everything else follows an automatic fallback sorting (bestsellers, newest, price and so on), and new products join that automatic order by themselves. Shoppers get one extra sorting option, Recommended. It sits next to your existing sortings and doesn't replace any of them.
Compatibility: Shopware 6.7, from 6.7.0.0 onward. Works with MySQL and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, with manually assigned categories and dynamic product groups, and with headless storefronts through the Store API.
Who it is for
This plugin is for merchants who arrange their category pages by eye, such as fashion, lifestyle, furniture, gift and D2C shops, where a person decides what goes first. It works with every variant display mode: simple products, a single main variant, or one tile per expanded colour or size.
What it does
- See what shoppers see. The canvas is built from the same listing the storefront shows for the selected sales channel. Slot 3 in the admin is slot 3 on the page.
- Place only what matters. You can drag a tile, type a slot number, or send a product to the top, to the bottom, or back to its automatic position.
- No re-sorting after imports. New products join the automatic order, and your placements are kept through imports and re-indexing.
- One shared order, or one per sales channel. Each sales channel inherits the shared order until you give it its own.
- Stale entries are reported, never silently dropped. A product that disappears from every listing is flagged, and you can clean it up in one click.
- Changes go live right away. Saving clears the category's cache, so you never have to clear caches by hand.
