Test a rule with the Simulator
The Simulator lets you run a rule against a sample cart and customer and see exactly what would happen — before any real customer is affected. Use it whenever you create or change a rule.
Run a simulation
- Go to Marketing → Reward Engine → Simulator.
- Choose the scenario to test against (the cart and customer the rule would evaluate).
- Run the simulation.
- Read the Result panel: it shows which rules matched and what each would award, so you can confirm the outcome is what you intended.
What to check
- Did the right rules fire? If a rule you expected didn't match, revisit its Who matches? condition.
- Is the reward correct? Confirm the points or discount amount.
- Stacking — if several rules match, remember the Max simultaneous rewards per cart setting caps how many apply. See the configuration reference.
Why simulate
Because rules use the native Rule Builder and can stack, the combined outcome isn't always obvious from one rule in isolation. The Simulator is the safe way to verify the combined result without placing test orders or risking a misconfigured rule going live.
